The Woman Behind the Designs

Aljani is the Founder and Designer of LiCrucian Designs, an Interior Design and Landscape Design studio that combines her love of creating healing spaces that support her client’s well-being and quality of life.

Aljani draws her design inspiration from her Liberian-American upbringing and roots in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa where vibrant colors, textures, and patterns infuse every aspect of life from clothing to food. Her passion for culture, art and design was influenced by the inspiring women in her life who were world travelers, ambassadors, artists, healers, educators, and stylists with diverse backgrounds, and unique taste.

Aljani believes that a home is the center of the heart and soul. She collaborates with clients to design sophisticated and elegant spaces punctuated by expressive color tones. Her style is guided by what inspires her clients, reflects their personalities and unique tastes. She uses a similar approach to landscape design and believes outdoor spaces heal people and transform their lives. As a landscape artisan, she is foundationally connected to nature and thoughtfully crafts spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

She contributes her success to her family and friends who stepped in with opportunities for her to craft her skills. Aljani balances successful careers in interior and landscape design, real estate, farming and herbal medicine while raising her children.

She enjoys spending time with her life partner, kids, and dog.
